Terms and conditions
Multifit Hospital Supplies and Multifit International Ltd are New Zealand owned businesses.
All transactions are in New Zealand Dollars unless otherwise specified.
Returns and refund policy
The Consumer Guarantees Act and Fair Trading Act provide the basis for our returns policy. Multifit Hospital Supplies and Multifit International Ltd have a seven day Money Back Guarantee policy with printed proof of purchase. For a product to be returned under our policy, that product must be in an unused, resaleable condition including the wrapping, unless faulty or otherwise defective.
Restrictions and Exceptions
As a result of hygiene issues a refund or exchange is only available for the following products if the product is defective:
- Bathing products
- Use of any product by a person who has a communicable disease
Consumer Guarantees Act
The Consumer Guarantees Act sets out minimum standards for goods sold by Multifit Hospital Supplies and Multifit International Ltd. In the event that goods sold are deficient or are faulty, the retailer has the obligation to repair, replace or refund.
Options available for our customers who would like to return a product are –
1. Exchange
If a product is unsatisfactory, we can offer to exchange it for another one (i.e. a different size or height) or another product of the same value. Proof of purchase is required in order to get an exchange. Please note, as mentioned above, products returned or exchanged must be in a resaleable condition with packaging intact and all labels etc returned with the item.
2. Money Back Guarantee
If you have proof that you have purchased the goods from Multifit Hospital Supplies or Multifit International Ltd within the last seven days you may obtain a refund. Please note that purchases made by cheque need seven days to clear before we can refund and as mentioned above, that product returned must be in resaleable condition unless faulty or otherwise deficient. The Money Back Guarantee does not apply to products:
- Hygiene Products (Bathers or shower inserts)
- Where the products are faulty or damaged due to manufacturing faults we will either: (i) replace the products; or (ii) repair the product under the manufacturers guarantee; (iii) give you a full refund.
3. Credit Note
The issuing of credit notes provides an alternative to a refund or exchange. These credit notes can be used to purchase anything from Multifit Hospital Supplies or Multifit International Ltd. Credit notes cannot be exchanged for cash and will not be generated for amounts less than $5.00.
4. Application for refund
An application for a refund will be required where the original purchase was made by cheque less than seven days prior to the refund claim.
5. Repairs
If the returned product is still under warranty, the repair will be at our expense. There may be an assessment fee on electrical items. If the product is out of warranty, then we can still have the product repaired, however the cost of the repair will be charged to the customer unless the product is faulty or otherwise defective.
Delivery times for goods.
Goods will be delivered within five working days from the time we receive your payment. Goods that are on back order are normally delivered within three weeks.
New Zealand export restrictions
Export of our products out of New Zealand is subject to what the item is and if we have a current distributor in your country. Distributors in these counties may have exclusive distribution rights which exclude Multifit from exporting directly to that country. Items which are exported are subject to a case by case basis.
Billing cycles.
Unless otherwise arranged, all purchases are 100% prepaid before dispatch.
